Little fun escape to Penang - Langkawi [Part 1] ♥

Tadaa!

We created a list of must-go places in both islands, Penang and Langkawi based on good reputations from the web, mostly from bloggers. Our trip were all based on our itinerary, not really. hahaha!

First station, Pulau Penang. I'm so grateful that KC promised to bring us around and be our tour guide in Penang. He's staying in Butterworth, therefore he has to come driving all the way from butterworth to penang island which taking up 30 to 45 mins [i'm not so sure] just to accompany us. You are the best, KC! =P hahaha! No doubt, you are the best tour guide ever. LOLOLOL! and of course not forgetting bout the legendary GPS systems which help us to bump into the places we wanted to visit.

We landed on penang island in the evening [14th January 2015]. We took a ride on rapid bus [ 401/401E ] from penang airport to Komtar. The rapid bus system is quite similar with the one we have in KL. Convenient. Of course it's not that advance compared to the one we have in KL but still i gonna give a big applause for it because of the friendly bus driver. My touch-n-go card cannot be used since the rapid buses only accept cash. hah! We found our New Asia Heritage Hotel after walking for like.. erm.. 5 mins from Prangin Mall? perhaps. Vintage and antique i shall say, for the environment of the hotel. This hotel is probably owned by a Chinese English-speaking uncle because he's always sitting in the counter, drinking his Chinese tea. haha! I shall rate this hotel with at least 3 stars. I was pretty satisfied with the environment and their services. We booked a standard family room from this hotel which cost us RM120 nett per night.  I'm glad that the room is very spacious and comfortable. There's no surcharge on requesting things like hairdryer. The only disadvantage i could list out now is the space for toilet is insanely small and pack. Okayy laa, to be honest, it can fit in only one person each time. No worries, there're washrooms available outside your room with proper maintenance and clean environment in case you need it.

First night in Penang, we had a not really delightful dinner at somewhere nearby our hotel. We are having a stereotype that the street foods should be or must be really tasty. haha! We were never been so wrong in all of our life time. pufff. Hilarious. The food  is obviously bringing us a great disappointment. haiz. The Char Keow Tiao is tasteless. LOL!

but this one tastes good! =)

and then we decided to wait for KC the next day to look for tasty food.
The Next Morning.

We had our breakfast in the restaurant nearby. Not bad but quite costly. =)

Our car was cramped because there were 4 people in the back seat. There is 6 of us in total. Luckily the places we are heading to is not too far. KC is patiently driving his car and we were chatting non-stop in the car. The noise makers! xD

Our first station, Penang Hill. =)

yea! super duper lucky! annual maintenance! nice one! LOLOLOL!
so we continue our journey by heading to Kek Lok Si, Penang.

The weather is burning hot. We can't stand the heat so we headed down and searched for yummy laksa as our lunch.

The famous Air Itam Penang Laksa is here. =)
arr.. maybe i get used to the taste of laksa in KL. I still prefer the asam laksa in petalling street, a hidden little stall selling awesome taste asam laksa in the back alley. but this one taste good too. =)

After that, adventure time! we went to Made in Penang 3D Thick Art Museum and we had fun there! xD
The entrance fees is only RM10 if you present your Student Card.

There are a lot more of photos. Forget bout it, let's move on to the other places. Time's running out. We gonna be fast. We visited Quay Strait and then we searched for some of the street art murals. Chew Jetty is also in our list of course. haha! super rush.

The famous penang cendol is here! =) This is my favourite for this trip. This is so so so tasty! yum! nom nom nom. xD
Jolie said she wanted to order 2 bowls of this cendol. I guess it was the same general idea. I would like to order more but i cant eat much. I'm way too full. T__T No regrets ordering this one. haha!

After that KC brought us to Persiaran Gurney for dinner. It's like a normal food court but acc with seaside view. hahaha! Nice food, nice view as well, and the people there were all communicate in hokkien. Out of a sudden, i felt like i'm home. LOL! because i'm hokkien lang too but their slang is a lil bit differ from us. My dad told me. =)

Nice till boom! =) Char Keow Teow!

Okayy. we ended our trip in penang and gonna heading to the next station, Pulau Langkawi the next day. =)
We had to get home right that instant which meant we were gonna have to make a run for it. I bet Kc is extremely tired but he deny. hah! no matter how many times i ask him, he will just tell me it's totally fine for him. Anyways, thanks a lot for accompany us kayy! xD
Again, stay tuned for more. =P
